Dear Kitten (San Blas)
We’ve been visiting here on vacation for over three weeks and you’ve come to claim us as your own. You sleep in a variety of self made nests around the flat and you sit outside our door when we’re away, waiting for us to return and let you in. The other night in the pouring rain, you hid under the outcropping on our roof until we heard your frantic mewing, found you and let you inside.
We leave here in less than two weeks and can’t take you with us and I am so sorry about that. I will miss you little kitten and hope that you find people who can love you forever the way you deserve.
To all the lost and stray animals in Mexico, I wish there were something better for you and that people were kinder.

Changing the Game
There isn’t a lot of Missed Connections action in Mexico so I’m going to change things up a little bit while we’re here (until July 25th). Instead of posting things from our location, I’ll be pulling posts from The Best of Craig’s List and illustrating them with photos.
