I love Del Taco too! - 41 (Behind the check cashing place)
I was minding my own business when I noticed you; just walking down the street with a friend. But, there you were all the same. I noticed your beautiful form resting by the dumpster of the check cashing place on Bell Rd. I guess I have a thing for 300 lb women in halter tops. I wanted so badly to speak to you but I was afraid, afraid of being hurt again. My friend noticed my ardent stare. He told me to quit being such a pussy and to say something. I did as he suggested. I shouted, “Hey gorgeous, want to party?” But, you returned no reply. As I approached I realized that you were not simply resting, you were unconscious! I rushed to your side. As I leaned in to check for a pulse, I was taken aback by your beauty. The way that one tooth sheepishly peeks through your crack-pipe blistered lips is adorable. Fortunately, your heart was still pumping but, I was sure mine skipped a beat or two.
I thought about kissing you. Just like sleeping beauty, I could be your prince charming and carry you off to a fanciful, happily-ever-after life. But alas and alack, as I day dreamed, you threw up all over your daisy duke style sweat shorts. The aroma was intoxicating, not just because it contained large amounts of what I assume was Old English but because it was then that I realized that we shared a love of Del Taco chicken tacos.
We sat together for a while. I plucked a leaf from your graying, matted hair. Then, just as quickly as our love began, it was over. The whole fairy tail came crashing down around me. I tried to tell the paramedics to take me with you but they said, “Soul mate does not count as family.” and you were gone…
I don’t know if you will ever read this (I don’t know if you can read) but I wanted to thank you. You reminded me of why I love this city! It’s all the colorful people… I love you…
